Program Overview
Our curriculum has been influenced by the very best early years methodologies out there – from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and Montessori, to Reggio Emilia, Singapore Nurture Learners and Forest School theories of learning. We’ve combined this with the newest research and trends into early years development, and all the experience of Kingston University London, specialists in early years education and teacher training.
Early Years Foundation Stage and Pingu’s English
The demand for high quality education is growing globally. More and more parents worldwide are demanding a first-class international kindergarten curriculum which will give their children the head start in life that they need, and deserve.
Pingu’s English International Kindergarten, is consistent with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYSF) andoffers:
- 6 learning hours of activities per day, which can be flexed with snack, lunch and rest times to meet the needs of any country.
- 5 learning days with a week.
- 3 weeks per topic thread.
- 3 years of teaching and student content.
The program offers 36 weeks of teaching per year for three years.
Pingu’s English International Kindergarten is a full-time, international kindergarten curriculum for children aged between 3 and 6 years.
The core aims are to prepare children to start formal schooling and to develop early bilingualism in English; essential skills for success in education and life.
Children will develop fundamental creative and learning skills in reading, writing, speaking and understanding in English, alongside academic skills such as maths, and broader skills such as team work and communication to prepare them for formal education.
As well as English, our full and varied curriculum also includes Maths, Art, Literacy and STEM. They’ll also develop skills in storytelling, role play, as well as building critical confidence and social skills too.
Our first-class English Language program and Pingu’s English Logical Phonics system is imbedded within our unique International Kindergarten curriculum. All which will ensure that the International Kindergarten curriculum we are delivering to the global marketplace is truly industry-leading, engaging for children, and delivering tangible outcomes.
Pingu's English International Curriculum
Pingu’s English and Kingston University London have identified six core curricula ‘strands’ which form the basis of the curriculum and through which children will learn, all in a fully English speaking environment. These curriculum skills are:
- Communication, Language, Literacy, Reading, Writing and Spelling
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social, Emotional, Health and Well Being, and Cultural Diversity
- Numeracy, Shape, Space, and Measurement
- The World and Us
- Expressive and Creative Arts
Pingu’s English has also created 12 topic ‘threads’ which provide the framework for the curriculum: Custom, Family and friends, Belongings, Food, Home life, Number, Actions, Reactions and Consequences, Colors and shapes and many others.
As a key goal of the program is to develop early bilingualism, our tried, tested and trusted International Kindergarten curriculum is designed to be primarily delivered through the medium of the English language,
However, we appreciate that children in this age-group will still be developing communication skills in their mother-tongue, so it is natural and expected that some non-English support will be provided by our qualified kindergarten staff.
There is also flexibility within our International Kindergarten program to add in any market-specific requirements required, such as local language instruction or religious education for instance, that may be required by the Ministry of Education in a given market.

Kindergarten-certified Teachers
Our qualified English Teachers in early years combine exceptional teaching ability with a caring, nurturing nature which will encourage children in their very first adult interactions away from their parents.
Pingu’s English International Kindergarten combines two key elements, English-language instruction and early years child development, so naturally our qualified staff are required to embody both components equally well.
